Some form of dental wear occurs in almost everyone and is noticeable in everyone over time. Sometimes, however, wear progresses faster than normal. Increasingly, we also see younger patients with severe wear.

This can be caused by clenching or grinding, whether or not combined with a faulty bite or tooth position. Sometimes brushing techniques or eating habits also play a role.

Patients can come to me for scanning and advice. If necessary, treatment can be instituted together with their own dentist. Early detection and prevention are crucial and avoid expensive more invasive treatments.
